Tender Years is one of the best daycare facilities that I've used, my now 12yr old son attended from 2012-2016 and now my twins are attending since 2021, they have great staff and the owners are lovely, the place is always clean and the staff is very accommodating.
This daycare has meant so much to my family. My granddaughter has been there 2 years and I have nothing but good to say. She is happy there, has so many friends and loves her teachers. They are kind and motherly ❤️. It's a warm, caring and safe place for kids.

A day at Tender Years follows a familiar rhythm without becoming one-size-fits-all.
Educators get to know each child's routines, comfort cues and interests, then prepare play experiences that invite movement, language, creativity and problem-solving. Infant care respects individual feeding and sleep needs, while toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children gain more choice and independence as they grow.
Children have time for active indoor and outdoor play, quieter moments, meals, rest and conversation with friends. Educators observe what children are working to understand, extend their ideas with thoughtful materials and questions, and keep families connected with practical updates about the day.

What ages does Tender Years Childcare serve?
Tender Years Childcare serves children from infancy through age 12 through infant, toddler, preschool, before and after school, and summer programs. Part-time care may be available in eligible programs.
Where is Tender Years Childcare located and what are the hours?
The centre is at 338 Rossland Road East in Ajax, Ontario. Regular hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
How do children learn at Tender Years?
Tender Years follows Ontario's How Does Learning Happen? pedagogy. Educators use warm relationships, purposeful play, observation and conversation to support belonging, well-being, engagement and expression.
Is Tender Years part of CWELCC?
Yes. Tender Years participates in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care system. Contact the centre for the current fee that applies to your child’s program.
How do I join the childcare waitlist or book a visit?
Use the contact form to share your child’s age, preferred start date and schedule, or call 905-683-2559. Requests are generally considered first-come, first-served and remain subject to availability, with priority for siblings of enrolled children and children moving into the next age group.
How are meals and family updates handled?
A morning snack, hot lunch and afternoon snack are prepared on site. Educators share routines, meals, sleep, activities and messages through Lillio, our parent app.
