A home away from home for over 15 years
For more than 15 years, Tender Years has been a fixture on our side of Ajax: a centre where your child is known by name, drop-off feels easy, and “daycare” feels a lot more like a second home. We've had the privilege of watching families grow up here, sometimes across generations.
Licensed Childcare in Ajax, From Infancy Through School Age
Tender Years is a fully licensed centre offering care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age kids, all under one roof, so families don't have to switch providers as their children grow. We're proud to be a long-standing, familiar presence in our part of Ajax.
Educators Who Feel Like Family
Some of our educators have been with us for more than a decade, and it shows. They know each child's cues, comforts and quirks, and families come to trust them the way you'd trust family. We don't take that for granted: Tender Years simply doesn't run without them.

Our Staff
At Tender Years Child Care, we place tremendous value on education. Our team of Registered Early Childhood Educators and qualified Early Childhood Assistants provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, play and grow. They plan age-appropriate activities that build learning, social skills and creativity, keep daily routines running smoothly, and stay in regular contact with you about your child’s progress.
All of our team members are trained in First Aid and CPR-C, and are carefully screened with a current criminal reference check before they are hired.
Our staff take part in regular training and professional development, and work together to build trusting relationships with children and families.

I am so thankful for this daycare! Cannot express enough how much I appreciate the care and attention each staff has for our son! The transition for our son couldn't have been more smooth! He eats so well and learned sooo many new things in just the first month.

Our daughter started at Tender Years at 9 months old, and we could not have asked for a better experience in sending our first child off to daycare. They are all so kind and genuine. Anytime you walk through the hall staff greet you and your child and it's a wonderful atmosphere.
The staff are like family, always greeting us with smiles and genuine care and keeping me updated on any important information. Plus, the establishment is clean with loads of fun activities to keep the little ones engaged - both my son and daughter come home excited to tell me about their day.
Tender Years is one of the best daycare facilities that I've used, my now 12yr old son attended from 2012-2016 and now my twins are attending since 2021, they have great staff and the owners are lovely, the place is always clean and the staff is very accommodating.
This daycare has meant so much to my family. My granddaughter has been there 2 years and I have nothing but good to say. She is happy there, has so many friends and loves her teachers. They are kind and motherly ❤️. It's a warm, caring and safe place for kids.
